Rage Against The Machine are reuniting for a summer tour, and comedian, actor, and liberal political commentator Jimmy Dore mocked the band for playing Capital One Arena, due to its corporate tie ins. Dore tweeted, “The Machine presents.” Zack de la Rocha having a big fall was just revealed.

Rage Against The Machine fans also criticized their festival performance choices. Megahorse17 posted, “RATM in Ireland – worst announcement ever? They’re playing Electric Picnic, which sold out months ago. There’s not a single ticket available for any Rage fan. Incredibly frustrating choice of venue.”

Woodenideas responded, “Agreed. Essentially there is no RATM gig in Ireland now. It’s just not the type of festival any fan could have predicted them playing. Tickets all sold out months ago as you say.

Almost all RATM fans will not be able to attend unless they get shafted bad on the resale market. Even at that you’d be paying for a full festival where RATM may be the only band you’d enjoy. Very disappointing.”

Neb8neb commented, “Same with UK. They’re playing fucking pop festivals. Why no stadium gig? Just feels like a huge fuck you to the fans and a huge cash grab by the band.”

Pognose wrote, “Cash Grab and Rage doesn’t seem to fit the narrative here. Promoters maybe, the band itself no. Having said that, if tickets to the Prague or Krakow shows are $170 I’m gonna be gutted because I’ve then got to get flights and a hotel from the UK and it’s going to be a hefty weekend away.”

Pognose chimed in, “Yeah, to be honest that blew my mind, Coachella bis the opposite of what RATM stands for. Maybe they’ve given too much money away.”

Coldbeerisgood said, “Maybe the people attending these festivals are exactly the people that need to hear and get the ‘message’ but I understand peoples frustration with some of the tours ‘choices.’ I´ve also heard that RATM will be donating proceeds during the tour: ‘Through ticketing, volunteering and band donations, Rage Against the Machine will be working with multiple charities and activist organizations throughout the tour. In addition, 100% of all proceeds from El Paso, Las Cruces and Phoenix will go to immigrant rights organizations.'” Rage Against The Machine recently ripped the Coachella reunion backlash.
