Axl Rose likes Nine Inch Nails
He frequently wore Nine Inch Nails shirts on the UYI tour. They opened some dates as well. Rose has always talked about being influenced by a ton of musical artists and genres. Remember, he was the one who said he loved Cream and The Go-Go’s back when everyone else in the rock circle was ragging on them. He was very into Nine Inch Nails and bands like that too later on when no one else was, so his music taste has always been eclectic.
Axl Rose previously asked Nine Inch Nails leader Trent Reznor to work with him on a side-project.
“I heard from Axl right before we started this tour,” reveals Reznor exclusively to Mayhem. “That was kind of when the downfall of Guns N’ Roses was reaching the bottom.
“He was kind of freaked out and talking about working on some kind of project. I told him to let me know. I’m into at least listening to ideas.”
Rose has been a long-time fan of Nine Inch Nails. He had also brought them over to the UK to support Guns N’ Roses at Wembley Stadium in 1991.
Axl Rose’s admiration for Nine Inch Nails displays his diverse musical taste and proof of different influences. This admiration enriches his music and bridges the gap between rock sub genres.
