Chester Bennington’s son Jaime made a post on Instagram to mark the anniversary of Hybrid Theory. He wrote, referencing the new Linkin Park music video with a fictional car accident:

Linkin Park fans eagerly anticipate the band’s upcoming shows, but many are frustrated when trying to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster. Recent issues with the platform have left fans feeling upset and empty-handed, despite patiently waiting in virtual queues.

Several fans took to social media to share their struggles, with many expressing anger at Ticketmaster’s system. One fan recounted their experience. One fan got all four General Admission tickets in the basket and clicked to checkout but got a message saying ‘suspicious activity’ which left the fan disappointed and confused.

Linkin Park fans struggle

It has come to light that several fans reported problems right from the moment they joined the virtual queue. Despite waiting for hours and watching their place in line slowly decrease, they were met with disappointment when they finally had the chance to select tickets. One fan shared, “I was 300 in the queue, clicked for standing, and kept getting ‘Unfortunately, we can’t reserve your tickets.’ I got nothing.”

For some, the issue wasn’t just the long wait times or the lack of available tickets but Ticketmaster’s system labeling basic actions as “suspicious activity.” This caused additional confusion and frustration as fans were unfairly locked out of purchases.

Another source of disappointment came from fans with LPU Plus memberships, who had early access to tickets. However, some reported that the number of tickets available for LPU Plus members seemed limited. “I guess they didn’t load too many tickets for LPU Plus,” one fan commented, expressing their frustration.

Ticketmaster’s Technical Issues

Ticketmaster is no stranger to complaints from fans across various concerts and events. The platform has faced ongoing criticism for its handling of high-demand events, and Linkin Park’s recent ticket sale is just the latest example of the site’s struggles.

“Ticketmaster is the worst thing to be made,” one fan vented. “The people who made Ticketmaster are the worst because they can’t make a basic website.” For fans who had invested time and excitement into securing tickets, encountering errors and glitches in the system only heightened their frustration.

For those unable to secure tickets through Ticketmaster, the option to try resale may be the next step. However, many fans are wary of resale platforms, knowing that ticket prices are often inflated. “I might try resale,” one fan said, “but probably not.”

The resale market is often marked by high markups, and fans who couldn’t secure tickets at face value may find themselves priced out of the event entirely. This has led to growing calls for Ticketmaster and other ticket platforms to improve their systems and address the widespread issues.

For many Linkin Park fans, securing tickets to the band’s upcoming shows has been a frustrating and disappointing experience due to Ticketmaster’s ongoing technical issues. With long queues, website errors, and suspicions of limited availability for LPU Plus members, it’s no wonder fans are calling for changes to the ticket-buying process.

Linkin Park recently announced a short world tour which will see several arena shows across the world between September and November this year. The tour started at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 11th where Mike Shinoda had a blooper. Other stops include New York, Germany, London, South Korea and Colombia.
