The comeback of Marilyn Manson to the stage might be in jeopardy as ‘New evidence’ in s*xual abuse allegations has emerged.
Allegations against Marilyn Manson
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón is checking new information in the s*xual abuse case against Marilyn Manson. Esme Bianco, one of Manson’s accusers, welcomed the recent news.
She believes that Gascón only decided to review the case after it was announced that she would appear with Nathan Hochman, who is running against him for district attorney.
“Not until he knew I would stand up and publicly demand answers while sharing a podium with his political opponent did he try to offer some explanation,” Bianco stated at a press conference on Thursday.
Hochman noted, “[He] issues a press release so that you folks will know about what’s going on in her case before even she does. Please. If I ever do that, you can hold me accountable, because I will never treat victims in that way.”
In an interview, Gascón had explained that media interest in Hochman’s press conference led to updates in the case. He stated it wouldn’t be right for him to contact the alleged victim while the investigation is ongoing.
Gascón has stressed the importance of keeping the investigation fair and honest. He noted that this issue is more visible now due to the upcoming elections. He also mentioned that his team and the victim services group have been in contact with Esmé Bianco and other victims who have accused Manson.
A couple of years back, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued search warrants and sent their Manson case to Gascón’s office. Bianco provided many pieces of evidence, including photos of her injuries and threats related to her immigration status, and she wants to know why the investigation is taking so long.
Gascón believes the new information will speed up the investigation. Meanwhile, Manson denies any wrongdoing, and the final voting day for the district attorney’s race is November 5.
Manson is set to release his new album, ‘One Assassination Under God,’ on November 22 and is currently on tour. He and his lawyers have always denied the accusations from from those who have come forward in the last three years.
