Jordyn Blum, Dave Grohl’s wife of 21 years, is apparently uncertain about whether she wants to leave the Foo Fighters frontman who recently announced he fathered a child outside of their marriage.
Blum’s friends have become “worried” she is going to stick it out with Grohl and have gone as far as to stage an intervention to encourage her to leave him, but she is still in a “state of confusion,” according to reports.
“One day Jordyn Blum is ditching her wedding ring and vowing divorce from cheating husband Dave Grohl,” an insider told the Daily Mail. “The next, she’s at home wearing the ring and sobbing because she doesn’t want the marriage to end.”
Blum’s “intervention” was reportedly staged by four of her closest friends to help her gain clarity. While they were there to provide her emotional support, they also made it clear that they believe Grohl cannot be trusted again and that Blum should start a new chapter without him.
“Her besties have begged her to move forward with the split,” the source said, “Not to go back with him at any cost. There were lots of tears during the session.”
Blum allegedly still remains unsure about moving forward with divorce proceedings despite some of her friends threatening to end their friendship if she doesn’t leave him.
“One of her friends, who’s been a close confidante for many years, even told Jordyn she’ll lose total respect for her if she takes Dave back and she’ll walk away from their decades long friendship,” the insider added.
While it is unclear what Blum will decide, Grohl still seems like he is hoping to repair their marriage, writing at the time of his baby announcement in September: “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
Recently, a source told In Touch that Grohl has even started going to therapy in an attempt to save his relationship with Blum and their three daughters. “Jordyn and the kids are his life,” they said. “He admits he was wrong, but he’s under total scrutiny, he has no freedom. He’s offering up phone text messages and constantly apologizing and going to therapy.”
