AC/DC’s Power Up Tour is back, and it’s already delivering the kind of stories that make you go, “Only AC/DC could pull this off.” We’re talking about their frontman, Brian Johnson, twisting his ankle mid-show in Minneapolis and deciding to carry on with the show. He finished the set barefoot. Brian has been lauded for being the unstoppable force he is.
This tour is AC/DC’s first full-scale North American run in nearly a decade. After health scares and lineup changes, many thought they’d hung up their devil horns. Yet, here they are, defying age and expectations, proving that rock ‘n’ roll isn’t just music, it’s a way of life.
Now, while Minneapolis got the full-throttle experience, Dallas had a different story. Fans were pumped, but then the sound messed up the experience. One fan on Reddit vented, “I see everyone posting about how great the show in Dallas was… but it wasn’t! The sound, mix, audio was terrible. I was in section 121 with a speaker column directly in front of me. I couldn’t understand a single word that Brian sang all night. I tried earplugs but nothing worked. Honestly, it ruined the show for me. I wish I wouldn’t have drove 3 hours and rented an AirBnB for that! P.S. I know this isn’t the band’s fault, still a disappointing experience.”
During AC/DC’s show at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles on April 18th, he was also spotted wearing foot protection for his injury.
So, what’s next for AC/DC? If this tour is any indication, they’re not slowing down. Brian’s ankle might need some ice, but his spirit is unbreakable. And for fans, it’s a reminder that legends never fade—they just get louder.
