BREAKING NEWS: Carlos Santana rushed to hospital before Texas show.
Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management and a representative for Santana, said, “It is with profound disappointment that I have to inform you all that tonight’s show in San Antonio has been postponed. Mr. Santana was at the venue (Majestic Theatre) preparing for tonight’s show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration. Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action.”
Carlos Santana has had an eventful 2025, marked by both artistic milestones and health challenges. In March, he released Sentient, a retrospective album blending unreleased tracks and reimagined classics. The album features collaborations with legends like Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, and Miles Davis, reflecting Santana’s enduring creative spirit.
In support of Sentient, Santana launched his “Oneness Tour 2025,” performing across the U.S. with stops in Highland, Phoenix, and Albuquerque. However, the tour hit a temporary setback on April 22 when Santana was hospitalized for dehydration before a scheduled concert in San Antonio, leading to the show’s postponement. This incident followed a finger injury earlier in the year that delayed his Las Vegas residency.
Looking ahead, Santana plans to resume live performances, including an eight-show residency at the House of Blues in Las Vegas in May, followed by an extensive European leg of the tour. He has also expressed interest in future collaborations, notably with Taylor Swift, aiming to create music that celebrates the divine feminine.
Despite the recent health concerns, Santana remains focused and passionate, continuing to evolve as an artist while honoring the spiritual and musical legacy that has defined his decades-long career.
