In a now viral video shared by iHeart Radio Canada to Instagram, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst can’t hold back his excitement about getting to open up for Metallica at their show in Toronto this past Saturday (April 26th).

“I cannot f*cking believe that we are playing with Metallica!,” he shouts. “It’s a dream come true!”

“So are there any Metallica fans in the house here tonight?” Durst asks the audience. “Holy moly. Legendary. Legendary!”

The clip then cuts to Durst walking on a different section of the stage. “I can’t believe I’m walking right where James Hetfield walks,” he says in amazement.

Later on in his set, between songs, he again brings up Metallica. “My favorite Metallica song – what’s your favorite Metallica song?” he asks the crowd. “Who likes ‘Master of Puppets’? ‘Ride the Lightning’?”

Then, just as he is about to walk off stage, Durst shouts: “Thank you so much. I can’t wait to see Metallica!!”

This isn’t the first time the two bands have toured together, as Limp Bizkit and Metallica hit the road together in 2003 as part of the Summer Sanitarium Tour – which Metallica headlined.
