DROPKICK MURPHYS slam TRUMP, MUSK, and fan wearing a “N*ZI” MAGA hat: “SHUT THE F*CK UP!”

Over the weekend in the lead up to St. Patrick’s Day, The Dropkick Murphys played three consecutive shows at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park in Boston. During Saturday’s concert, frontman Ken Casey took issue with a fan in the audience who had been waving around a MAGA hat for the entirety of the concert.
Calling out the fan, Casey said:

“While we’re on the subject of disagreements, my man over here [points to a fan in the audience], doing some friendly protesting, I see him with this white MAGA hat which is nice because I’ll tell you what… [crowd begins to boo the fan in question] You have, three options. You have pure, Chinese f*ckin’ red, that they all wear, and I think is dyeing their brains. You got the black on black Elon Musk true n*zi edition. And then, my man here, is getting ready for summer with a nice f*ckin’ light white one.”

The fan then begins to wave his hat around over his head, to which Casey replies: “No, bro, listen. I admire your dedication, but I will ask everyone – If you’re in a room full of people and you wanna know who’s in a cult, how do you know who’s in a cult? They’ve been holding up a f*cking hat the whole night to represent a president.

“This is America, there’s no kings here! [The crowd erupts into loud applause and cheers] Anyway, do you mind sir, we’re gonna play about our grandparents and people who, like, fought n*zis in the war and sh*t, you know. So, if you could just shut the f*ck up for five minutes.”

Earlier this month at a show in Florida, Casey also interacted with a member of the audience who was sporting some Donald Trump merch, challenging him to a bet about whether the MAGA hat and shirt he was wearing were made in the U.S.

“If you lose the bet, we switch shirts, OK? If you win the bet, I give you $100 and the shirt,” he said. Moments later, he declared: “It’s made in Nicaragua! He’s taking the shirt off. We’re taking crime off the streets.”

Clarifying why he called out that fan in Florida, Casey explained that he doesn’t want people to be confused by where they stand. “The reason we speak out, we don’t care if we lose fans, because when history is said and done, we want it known that the Dropkick Murphys stood with the people, we stood with the workers,” he said.
