Workday, Inc., the AI platform designed for managing people, finances, and resources, has highlighted AI agents in its newest “Rock Star” campaign, shelling out big money to Paul Stanley and Gwen Stefani. This campaign features Paul Stanley from KISS, Billy Idol, and Gwen Stefani via Blabbermouth.
The rock stars, dressed in business attire, comically attempt to navigate the corporate world, remaining skeptical that Workday’s AI agents actually help people become “rock stars.” The couple of new television commercials, titled “Carmen The Rock Star” and “Goodnight Rock Stars,” will debut during The Masters from April 7th to 13th.
The commercials contrast the worlds of rock ‘n’ roll and business with Stefani, Idol and Stanley trading their leather studs for power suits and attending countless meetings, engaging in small talk with colleagues in the office, and grappling with corporate jargon.
Superstar Gwen Stefani said, “You think AI agents can handle your tasks? Watch me handle my agent!”
Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Paul Stanley comments, “So you corporate types think you’re rock stars? That’s as ridiculous as us being corporate types! When your weekend routine involves smashing guitars on stage, a boring office job just doesn’t compare…”
Punk rock legend Billy Idol adds, “You think that using AI to help you get work done is challenging the status quo? How about trashing hotel rooms?!”
While some may not see it, Workday AI agents are turning their customers into rock stars in the business world. Unlike most agents on the market today, which are task-focused and designed to follow step-by-step instructions for single tasks, Workday’s role-based agents come with a configurable set of “skills” that enable them to perform hundreds of different tasks. These agents streamline and automate processes specific to various jobs or roles, allowing employees to concentrate on more strategic work.
Previously announced role-based agents from Workday include those for Contracts, Payroll, Financial Auditing, Policy, Recruiting, Talent Mobility, Succession, and Optimization.
“Agentic AI is not just changing how work gets done, it’s reshaping the future of work itself — a future where human employees and digital labor will work side-by-side,” said Emma Chalwin, chief marketing officer, Workday. “Our latest campaign playfully illustrates how our customers – the true ‘rock stars’ of business — use Workday to manage their people, money, and agents, reflecting our core value of fun and commitment to helping our customers move forever forward.”
