Legendary band, Pearl Jam recently called off a concert at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.

Pearl Jam issues statement

Taking to their X account, the rock band’s account stated that the show that was planned for Saturday had been canceled due to illness.

The Pearl Jam concert that was scheduled for Saturday, June 29th at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London has been canceled due to illness in the band.

“This decision was the last thing we wanted to have to make, especially as we know so many of you made travel plans based on the tour schedule. There was simply no other option based on our current health and also having to avoid further damage.

“We couldn’t be more disappointed to not play one of our favorite cities this tour. Despite best efforts, rescheduling was not possible at this time due to existing schedule commitments.

They also apologized for the “inconvenience and disappointment” it will cause fans.

“We are deeply grateful for your support and sincerely apologize to the incredible Pearl Jam community for the inconvenience and disappointment. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

It has been noted that the Seattle band performed at Manchester’s Co-Op Live arena earlier this week. The band frontman Eddie Vedder, who recently supported assault victim, explained that he was unwell. He further revealed that he was having difficulties with his voice. However, the latest post from the band is short on detail stating only that the London show was cancelled “due to illness in the band”.

The band are currently touring in support of their twelfth album, Dark Matter, which reached number two on the UK albums chart. The band is scheduled to perform in Berlin, Germany on 2 July. The band is continuing to tour in support of its twelfth studio album, “Dark Matter”, which was released in April via Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records.
