Singer and rapper Azealia Banks recently hit on Creed’s Scott Stapp, saying that she doesn’t understand why many people hate the band.

“So sorry but Nickelback, Creed and Matchbox twenty were great white people music. I don’t understand why so many white people make fun of creed. I LOVE Creed,” the singer shared on X. She later shared footage from Creed’s performance at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game at the Texas Stadium on November 22, 2001. “Ok can somebody hook me up on a date with Scott Stapp. I’ll be back in Florida Nov 2. Call me baby. Lolol. He’s so hawt,” she added.
When a user clarified that Stapp recently divorced and is now single, the singer added: “I know lol. I’m shooting my shot haha.”
Similar to Azealia Banks, SZA also earlier shared her love for the rock band.
“The other day you know what I pulled up? Creed, Nickelback, Train’s ‘Drops of Jupiter,’ just a whole bunch of that. Wait, you know what’s crazy? Do white people hate Creed and Nickelback? Why? Black people love them! They rock! That sh*t is bomb,” she explained to Variety.
Creed had officially announced their reunion on July 19th last year. The news ended years of speculation and set the stage for their return. Creed has also expanded their 2024 tour, their first in ten years. They added 20 more shows with guests 3 Doors Down, Finger Eleven, and Mammoth WVH. Originally planned for July to September, the ‘Are You Ready? Tour’ now runs from November 2nd to December 5th.
