Recently, Rooster Relics shared a post on Facebook about meeting Steve Perry, the former lead singer of Journey. They said:

“Got to meet one of the greatest voices of all time, Steve Perry. It was such an honor, and he’s such a nice guy. He was surprised that I recognized him. I learned he’s getting back into singing again.”

This news has made fans excited, especially after Neal Schon, the guitarist for Journey, posted some mysterious pictures. He shared an image called “Journey Beyond” on his X (formerly Twitter) account and later posted a photo of Perry on Facebook. Fans are now wondering if Perry might be getting ready to work with Journey again.

Perry made a comeback in 2018 with his solo album Traces and later released a simpler version of the album. In May 2023, he signed with a new music label, saying he wants to focus on passionate performances rather than just doing regular shows.

Perry and Schon last met backstage at Journey’s 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.

Journey is currently on a tour celebrating 50 years since the release of their Freedom album. Arnel Pineda, the band’s current singer, is performing songs like “Open Arms” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

Although Perry has said he doesn’t want to rejoin Journey, fans are now hopeful because of his return to singing and the mysterious posts from Schon. More news on this situation is expected soon.
