The Killers recently posted a short clip ahead of their Las Vegas residency, which reunites the band’s original lineup for their album Hot Fuss’ 20th anniversary. The video drop led to many fans believing that the band might be releasing a new song ‘Bright Lights.’ There have been rumors about the new song but no official announcement has been made yet.

The Killers are set to Las Vegas residency

The Killers, the iconic alternative rock band announced they would play their first-ever residency in their hometown of Las Vegas. They’ll be taking to the stage in Sin City — where they famously emerged up in the early 2000s and have remained a source of inspiration in their music ever since — to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their hit debut album Hot Fuss.

Not only will the upcoming shows that are scheduled for August mark the milestone anniversary, but the Grammy-nominated group also plans to perform the beloved record, featuring songs like “Mr. Brightside,” “Somebody Told Me” and “All These Things That I’ve Done,” from front to back for the first time.

The group featuring vocalist Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. are set to play a total of eight dates at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from Aug. 14 to Aug 30.

The “Human” band has announced the residency to fans on Instagram by dropping a teaser. The clip also featured footage of the rockers out on the road today, as well as nostalgic shots of them at the start of their career when Hot Fuss dropped.

The hitmakers’ new wave-influenced debut album had launched them into success upon its release in June 2004. The album received a Grammy nomination for best rock album, and three of its singles (“All These Things That I’ve Done,” “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me”) received nominations, as well.  Still today, the cult-loved record is considered one of the best debuts of all time.

The Killers’ residency comes on the heels of the release of their greatest hits album, Rebel Diamonds, and will follow a handful of festival headlining dates.
